The Cylindrical Internal Grinding Machine is mainly designed for internal diameter grinding and traditionally uses “single grinding spindle.” Nowadays, what with ever more industries requiring concentricity of multiple grinding faces (all ground in one setup), it looms difficult to achieve by using a conventional “single grinding spindle” on more than two faces: e.g., external diameter, internal diameter, face or taper. One wheel can only grind faces with smaller difference in diameter.
Given these shortcomings of conventional machines,HURISE developed a totally new “CNC Multi-Function Internal/External Grinding Machine” equipped with “Double Grinding Spindles” and delicate “FANUC CNC Control” .High concentricity accuracy can be achieved for grinding multiple faces in only ONE SETUP. In addition, proper utilization of Z- and Y-axis extends the effective grinding zone to a broader range.

1.Double Grinding Spindles:
This most important of multiple patented designs can grind internal / external diameter, internal / external face, taper, reverse taper and forms to a maximum 16 grinding faces at only ONE SETUP. It can greatly diminish disadvantages of low grinding efficiency of the conventional single grinding spindle.

2.Uni-axis Movement of Grinding Spindles: |
|
D1 eliminates conventional two-axis movement of grinding spindles by adopting European style’s Uni-axial movement: i.e., each spindle can only move along one axis. Main advantage of the design: vibration error caused by two-axis movement of grinding spindles can be greatly reduced.

3.Patented Sensor Mechanism:
|
Besides automatic grinding system, our special design “patented sensor mechanism” can detect contact between the grinding wheels and workpiece. This helps machines to grind the surface of workpiece more quickly and efficiently,what with cycle time reduced by air-gap elimination and collision by manual operation prevented. Starting point of a grinding job can be adjusted easily by the operator to suit different materials.
